The smart glasses integrate virtual Spaces, work credit authentication, privacy protection and ambient sound control for efficient collaboration, privacy protection and work-rest balance. The project is a digital product design, including hardware and software design of a virtual office environment. The workload covers user interface design and virtual office application development and combines the sketch generated by artificial intelligence and multiple user tests and feedback.
EEye smart glasses are designed to enter virtual office space, display work progress, control volume, work credit status, etc., enhance team cooperation and work efficiency, and provide health reminders and sound control to maintain users' work health. Real-time credit verification systems allow managers to assess employee performance more accurately. The skills developed in the project include user experience design for smart devices, data recording and analysis, interactive interface design, and the use of AI tools to generate design sketches. In particular, the in-depth understanding of remote work needs has strengthened the team's ability to analyze user needs and respond to design.

The design process used AI tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney to generate product sketches, combined with Figma's web prototypes and quick start guides for making EEye. The critical challenge is to balance technology presentation with user needs and to ensure that the product is lightweight and universal. At the same time, AI image generation technology is limited in expression innovation and still relies on existing visual references. The final project includes a rendering of EEye smart glasses, an AI-generated sketch, and a Figma web prototype display, ultimately presenting EEye's visual design and functional process.
L
I have an undergraduate background in 3D Computer Animation from UWTSD and a master's in Interaction Design and Electronic Arts. I have combined visual aesthetics with systematic design thinking in my learning journey. I am dedicated to creating products that can truly move people and solve real problems through user experience and emotional design. I believe that design is the art of innovation and a tool for understanding and addressing complex challenges.
MY WORK
02 Lake Macquarie

Within the program, Cube and Catenary are two separate interactive projects designed to enhance participants' environmental awareness and emotional experiences.
CuBE
The Cube project draws users' attention to the impact of human activities on the Lake Macquarie ecosystem through interactive displays. After entering the exhibition space, users can see the abstract chemical symbols at the bottom of the lake on the screen, symbolizing the pollution of human activities on the ecology. Touching the seagrass on the screen triggers a colour change from green to red, indicating ecological degradation. At the same time, the progress bar on the screen and the shift of background music further reinforce the user's negative emotional experience, such as tension and feeling of pressure. In this way, Cube aims to help users become aware of their actions' impact on the lake's ecology and promote environmental awareness.

Catenary
The Catenary project is an emotional and mental health experience that reflects and channels the user's emotions through the colour changes of LED lights. Participants can use the mobile app to set their emotional state, control the colour of the lights, and observe the emotional expressions of other participants. The project hypothesizes that by watching the progressive change in the colour of the light, users can enter a deeper state of emotional reflection, accept their own emotions, and interact indirectly with others. The Catenary program is designed to help participants improve their emotional expression, promote self-acceptance, and achieve emotional healing through interactive lighting experiences.
Both projects positively impact participants regarding environmental awareness and emotional well-being through interactive design, encouraging them to understand the vulnerability and interplay of nature and emotion through intuitive visual and interactive feedback.

In this project, I independently completed the catenary project and the beautiful pdf design and User testing of the whole project. Here, I would like to thank my team members Jinge and Xianghan. Thanks to all team members for their hard work!

03 ABC Echo
In response to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's (ABC) transformation to a digital platform, the project designed a digital-first radio platform to increase user engagement, deliver personalised recommendations, enable real-time interaction and facilitate social sharing within the user community.

The digital design project covered user research, competitive analysis, user testing and prototyping, demonstrating the team's creative solution to ABC's digital broadcast needs. The design includes personalized content recommendations, live chat, voting, social sharing and "flip broadcast" capabilities to provide a more interactive social radio experience. The team honed their skills in user experience design, prototyping, user behaviour analysis, and interaction design, and they used algorithms to optimize user engagement. The design process used user research, competitive analysis, user profiling, user journey mapping, Miro brainstorming and Figma prototyping.
The main challenge was balancing innovative features with user needs, and introducing a point system or achievement mechanism will be considered in the future to increase user engagement. Reports and posters feature high-quality interface design images such as flip radio, top charts and community interaction.

THE
TEAM

In this project, I was mainly responsible for the prototype design and visual and layout formatting. The prototype design was assisted by Yuxuan He, Xinyu Pu, Chenlong Ma and Dechun Huang. In addition, I also participated in the preparation of the content of the report. Thanks to Yuxuan, Xinyu, Chenlong and Dechun for their support in the project and their joint efforts to make the project possible!
